System Requirements
Hardware
- System with IntelŪ PentiumŪ 200MHz or equivalent
- 64 MB RAM
- 30 MB of free disk space
- CD-ROM drive for installation (not required for the downloaded
version)
- VGA graphics card capable of running at a resolution of
800x600 with at least 256 colors
- Mouse and keyboard
Software
- Requirements for Server:
- O&O Defrag V8.0 Server Edition is compatible with Windows
Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows NT 4.0 (all
versions).
- O&O Defrag V8.0 Server Edition contains the O&O Defrag
Network Manager for network-wide administration of systems
running O&O Defrag V8.0 Professional Edition / O&O Defrag V8.0
Server Edition.
- Requirements for Workstations:
- O&O Defrag V8.0 Professional Edition is compatible with
Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows NT 4.0
Workstation. The Professional Edition cannot be used on Windows
2003/2000/NT servers.
- O&O Defrag V8.0 Professional Edition and O&O Defrag V8.0
Server Edition can both be administered comfortably over the
network using the O&O Defrag Network Manager in the O&O Defrag
V8.0 Server Edition. O&O Defrag V8.0 supports AMD 64bit and Intel
EM64T. Intel Itanium-Processors are not supported!
- Please note: O&O Defrag V8.0 Professional Edition and
O&O Defrag V8.0 Server Edition cannot be installed on computers
running Windows 95/98/ME.
For computers running Windows NT4, additional software is
required:
- Microsoft Service Pack 6 for Windows NT4
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01
- Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0
To use O&O Defrag Network Management in Windows NT4, the
following must be installed on the administrator's computer:
- Microsoft Management Console (MMC) 1.2
- Microsoft Directory Services Client (DSC)
The aforementioned additional software is either openly available
on the internet or contained on the O&O Product CD.
Access Rights
- To install or configure this software, you must be a member of
the local administrator group or possess comparable access rights.
